Atos' cybersecurity practice is largely based on its acquisition of Bull in July 2014. The goals of the acquisition were to strengthen Atos' cloud operations and to build a big data and cybersecurity segment. Following the Bull acquisition, Atos strengthened its cybersecurity business through its partnership with Siemens on big data analytics, cybersecurity, and device connectivity and the acquisitions of Xerox ITO, Unify, and Anthelio Healthcare Solutions.
