NelsonHall has an opening for an industry analyst in F&A, procurement and supply chain transformation.

This is an opportunity to liaise with industry leaders and, building on your current domain expertise, become the leading authority within your areas of expertise advising F&A and supply chain technology & service providers on their offerings and strategic development and providing F&A and supply chain market intelligence to major enterprises and multinationals on the appropriate use of technology and BPS services, including state-of-the-art development of next-generation processes using technologies such as AI.

Duties and responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Being NelsonHall's subject matter expert in supply chain, procurement, and finance & accounting transformation and outsourcing
• The production of very detailed market analyses
• The production of detailed profiles of key supply chain, procurement, and F&A service providers
• Acting as a subject matter expert and demonstrating thought leadership to NelsonHall clients
• Market forecasting.

Activities include:

• Interviewing senior execs of firms providing supply chain, procurement, and F&A transformation services
• Writing profiles and market analyses
• Assessing vendor capability and producing NEAT charts
• Attending and presenting at industry analyst events
• Assisting vendor firms in their strategic development and giving executive feedback on vendor positioning
• Engaging with buyers at events and on webinars
• Presenting/facilitating webinars
• Producing blogs on topics of interest
• Tracking vendor news and announcements ( such as financials, acquisitions, contract wins, new offerings)
• Posting on social media (LinkedIn and twitter) based on NelsonHall methodology
• Assisting buy-side firms in identifying the art of the possible and suitable vendors.
• Updating the market forecast at least annually.

Please note this role involves analyzing the markets for supply chain, procurement, and F&A transformation services on behalf of service providers and their clients and is not a business analyst role within IT.

Qualifications

Intellectual curiosity and a desire to become the leading subject matter expert on the market within your areas of coverage is critical, as are a liking for MBA-style projects and a personable manner.

The work would potentially suit individuals with:

• Significant experience in product management or service management within supply chain or F&A services vendors
• Experience in senior operational roles within supply chain management or F&A, either within a service provider or a major enterprise
• Experience within strategic sourcing or supply chain management services
• Objective opinions and keen to be positioned as a thought leader in the market
• Strong communication skills to facilitate building relationships across the market and managing discussions regarding vendor capability.

MBA qualifications are valued, but existing domain experience and enthusiasm are of greater importance.
