Accenture Announces Q3 FY22 Revenues Up 21.8% (Up 27% in LC) to $16,159m

Accenture has announced Q3 FY22 results, for the period ending February 28, 2022:

  • Revenues were $16,158.8m, up 21.8% y/y, up 27% in CC
  • Operating income (EBIT) was $2,603.2m, a margin of 16.1%, up 10 bps y/y.

Q3 FY22 revenue (with reported and constant currency growth) by service line was:

  • Consulting and systems integration $9,032.4m (24.4+%) (+30% in CC)
  • Outsourcing $7,126.3m (+18.7%) (+23% in CC).

Q3 FY22 revenue (with reported and CC growth) by industry sector was:

  • Products $4,601m (+25.2%) (+31% in CC)
  • Communications, Media & Technology $3,427m (+26.7%) (+31% in CC)
  • Financial services $3,079m (+18.6%) (+24% in CC)
  • Resources $2,134m (+20.7%) (+26% in CC)
  • Health & Public Services (HPS) $2,917m (+15.8%) (+19% in CC)

Q3 FY22 revenue (and revenue growth) by geography was:

  • North America $7,614m (+22.8% as reported and in CC)
  • Europe $5,350m (+20.2%) (+30% in CC)
  • Growth Markets $3,195m (+22.3%) (+30% in CC).

New bookings in the quarter were $16.96bn (Q3 FY 2021: $15.37bn). Bookings by service type were:

  • Consulting $9.1bn, a book-to-bill of 1.01x
  • Outsourcing $7.8bn, a book-to-bill of 1.10x

Utilization in the quarter was 91%,  down from 92% in Q2 FY22.
Attrition for the quarter was 20%, up from 18% in Q2 FY22 and up from 93% in Q3 FY21.

Accenture’s total cash balance at May 31th, 2022 was $6.1bn, compared with $8.2bn at May 31, 2021.

Revenue guidance for:

  • Q4 FY22 is in the range of $15.0bn to $15.5bn, a y/y growth of 20% to 24% 
  • FY22 is of CC growth of 25.5% to 26.5% (previously 24% - 26%).
