Infosys has announced results for Q3 FY22, for the period ending December 31, 2021:

  • Revenues were $4,250m, up 20.9% y/y, up 21.5% in CC
  • Operating income (EBIT) was $998m, a margin of 23.5%, up 1.9 pts y/y.

Q3 FY22 estimated revenue by geography (with reported and CC  y/y growth in US$) was:

  • North America $2,627m (+21.3%, +21.4 CC) 
  • Europe $1m058m (+25.4%, +27.2% CC)
  • India $127m (+38.4%, +40.1% CC
  • Rest of World $438m (+5.9%, +6.7  CC).

Q3 FY22 revenue by service type (with reported and CC  y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Digital $2,487m (+41.2%, +42.6% in CC). Digital accounted for 58.5% of global revenue
  • Core $1,763m, (+0.5%, +0.6% in CC)

Q3 FY22 revenue mix by industry (with approx revenue and reported and CC y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Financial Services 31.5% ($1,337m, +15.0%, + 15.5% CC)
  • Retail 14.5% ($615m, +19.4%, +19.8% CC)
  • Communication 12.5% ($531, +21.7%, +22.2% CC)
  • EURS 11.7% ($499m, +13.2%, +13.6% CC)
  • Manufacturing 11.3% ($479m, +46.4%, +48.4% CC)
  • Hi Tech 8.1% ($342m, +18.6%, +18.9% CC)
  • Life Sciences 7.5% ($318m, +28.3%, +29.2% CC)
  • Others 2.9% ($129m +33.9%, +36.0% CC).

Infosys had 1,738 active clients at the end of Q3 FY22, with 111 new clients added during the quarter.

Major client contribution to revenue (and in Q2 FY22) was:

  • Top 5 clients 12.0% (11.4%)
  • Top 10 clients 20.2% (19.4%).

Headcount at the end of December  2021 was 292,067, a net y/y increase of 42,755, or 17.1%.

Annualized attrition was 25.5%,  up from 11.0% in the prior year period and up from 20.1% reported in Q2 FY22.
