Infosys has announced results for Q2 FY21, for the period ending September 30, 2020:

  • Revenues were $3,312m, up  3.2% y/y, up 2.2% in CC
  • Operating income (EBIT) was $840m, a margin of 25.4%, up 3.7 pts y/y.

Q2 FY21 estimated revenue by geography (with reported and CC  y/y growth in US$) was:

  • North America $2,010m (+2.1%, +1.9 CC) 
  • Europe $807m (+4.0%, +0.6% CC)
  • India $100m (+15.8%, +20.4% CC
  • Rest of World $379m (+4.5%, +3.7  CC).

Q2 FY21 revenue by service type (with reported and CC  y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Digital ($1,568m (+27.5%, +25.4% in CC). Digital accounted for 47.3% of global revenue
  • Core $1,744m, (-11.9%, -12.1% in CC)

Q2 FY20 revenue mix by industry (with approx revenue and reported and CC y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Financial Services 32.0% ($1,061m, +3.7%, + 2.9% CC)
  • Retail 14.9% ($492m, +0.7%, -0.3% CC)
  • Communication 12.6% ($417, -0.8%, -1.8% CC)
  • EURS 12.3% ($408m, -2.8%, -3.7% CC)
  • Manufacturing 9.1% ($302m, -7.0%, -8.2% CC)

Infosys had 1,487 active clients at the end of Q2 FY21, with 19 new clients added during the quarter.

Major client contribution to revenue (and in Q1 FY20) was:

  • Top client Not Stated (3.4%)
  • Top 10 clients 18.7% (19.2%).

Headcount at the end of September  2020 was 240,208, a net y/y increase of 3,722, or 1.6%.

Annualized attrition was 7,8%, down from 18.3% in the prior year period and the 11.7% reported in Q1 FY21.
