Accenture has announced Q1 FY22 results, for the period ending November 30, 2021:
- Revenues were $14,965.2m, up 27.2% y/y, up 27% in CC
- Operating income (EBIT) was $2,434m, a margin of 16.3%, up 19 bps y/y.
Q1 FY22 revenue (with reported and constant currency growth) by service line was:
- Consulting and systems integration $8,392m (+32.5%) (+32% in CC)
- Outsourcing $6,573m (+21.1%) (+21% in CC).
Q1 FY22 revenue (with reported and CC growth) by industry sector was:
- Products $4,282m (+33.5%) (+33% in CC)
- Communications, Media & Technology $3,084m (+32.1%) (+32% in CC)
- Financial services $2,918m (+24.4%) (+24% in CC)
- Resources $1,952m (+17.3%) (+17% in CC)
- Health & Public Services (HPS) $2,730m (+23.4%) (+23% in CC)
Q1 FY22 revenue (and revenue growth) by geography was:
- North America $6,907m (+26%) (26% in CC)
- Europe $5,100m (+28.5%) (+28% in CC)
- Growth Markets $2,958m (+27.8%) (+30% in CC).
New bookings in the quarter were $16.78bn (Q2 FY 2021: $15.09n). Bookings by service type were:
- Consulting $9.39bn, a book-to-bill of 1.12
- Outsourcing $7.39bn., a book-to-bill of 1.12
Utilization in the quarter was 92%, up from 93% in Q4 FY21.
Attrition for the quarter was 17%, the same as in 17% in Q4 FY21 and up from 9% in Q1 FY21.
Accenture’s total cash balance at November 39, 2021 was $5.6bn, compared with $8.2bn at August 31, 2021.
Revenue guidance for:
- Q2 FY22 is in the range of $14.3bn to $14.75bn, a y/y growth of 22% to 26%
- FY21 is of CC growth of 19% to 22%
