Convergys grew from Cincinnati Bell Information Systems (CBIS) and MATRIXX Marketing, both subsidiaries of Cincinnati Bell, and from AT&T Solutions Customer Care (formerly AT&T American Transtech), which was sold to Cincinnati Bell in 1998.
