Accenture has announced Q2 FY21 results, for the period ending February 28, 2021:
- Revenues were $12,088m, up 8.5% y/y, up 5% in CC
- Operating income (EBIT) was $1,654m, a margin of 13.7%, up 31 bps y/y.
Q2 FY21 revenue (with reported and constant currency growth) by service line was:
- Consulting and systems integration $6,439m (+4.3%) (+1% in CC)
- Outsourcing $5,649m (+13.7%) (+11% in CC).
Q2 FY21 revenue (with reported and CC growth) by industry sector was:
- Products $3,341m (+5.1%) (+2% in CC)
- Communications, Media & Technology $2,480m (+10.8%) (+9% in CC)
- Financial services $2,378m (+14.0%) (+10% in CC)
- Resources $1,628m (-4.3%) (-7% in CC)
- Health & Public Services (HPS) $2,261m (+16.1%) (+14% in CC)
Q2 FY21 revenue (and revenue growth) by geography was:
- North America $5,632m (+7.1%) (7% in CC)
- Europe $4,030m (+11.1%) (+3% in CC)
- Growth Markets $2,426m (+7.6%) (+6% in CC).
New bookings in the quarter were $16.01bn (Q1 FY 2021: $12.93n). Bookings by service type were:
- Consulting $8.02bn, a book-to-bill of 1.25
- Outsourcing $7.99bn., a book-to-bill of 1.41
Utilization in the quarter was 94%, up from 93% in Q4 FY20.
Attrition for the quarter was 12%, up from 9% in Q4 FY20 and up from 14% in Q1 FY20.
Accenture’s total cash balance at February 28, 2021 was $9.2bn, compared with $8.4bn at August 31, 2020.
Revenue guidance for:
- Q3 FY21 is in the range of $12.55bn to $12.95bn, a y/y growth of 10% to 13%
- FY21 is of CC growth of 6.5% to 8.5%
