Report Overview:

Report Outline:

In 2011, Capgemini introduced a number of major changes in its organization, including the split of its former Outsourcing Services unit into three, leading to the creation of the Infrastructure Services (IS) business unit.

IS, under the leadership of Patrick Nicolet, has acknowledged that:

  • The low margins prevailing in IT infrastructure management requires economies of scale that Capgemini does not have against the likes of IBM, HP and Fujitsu
  • IT infrastructure management spending in the coming years will be impacted by cloud computing services and a proliferation of as-a-service offerings
  • Competition is strong in IT infrastructure services.
