Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) was formed in 1968 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India. Originally a captive provider to other Tata Group entities, today it is an IT, consulting, services and BPO organization that forms part of The Tata Group, India’s largest private business conglomerate. TCS has grown rapidly throughout its 47 year history.  

While infrastructure management services have historically been a smaller segment of TCS’ business this has been growing quickly, achieving 29% CAGR from FY 2012 to 2016. With a strategic focus on the growth of digital transformation, TCS is expanding its cloud offerings to complete its ability to partner with clients for an entire digital transformation.  

TCS has cloud offerings that cover the entire process from cloud strategy, through migrating applications to cloud environments, to then managing those environments.  

TCS has ~31.5k infrastructure management resources. Of this, it estimates that ~2k are focused on providing cloud infrastructure migration and management activities.  

TCS has nine data centers currently providing cloud hosting services; these are a combination of co-location owned by other firms, and TCS owned data centers.
