In my previous blog, I provided a brief introduction to the principles and benefits of NelsonHall’s Compass sessions. This blog explains how to arrange a session, who should attend, expectations from these sessions, and key content areas.
Compass sessions deliver key strategic feedback to vendor executives, providing specific insights to help the vendor become more competitive in a specific service line. NelsonHall’s vendor clients can request a session at any time, to be held after a project has concluded. Our relationship managers will be happy to discuss and arrange Compass sessions at your convenience.
To derive the best value from a Compass session, it is important that your relevant executives attend. These stakeholders may include business unit heads, subject matter experts, and key marketing executives. Anyone who would benefit from NelsonHall’s strategic feedback is welcome to attend.
A typical Compass session covers the following areas:
- Key strengths: A deep-dive analysis of your company’s strengths. The NelsonHall analyst provides an objective evaluation of your business based on the NEAT evaluation. This provides your executives with an independent assessment of what is currently working well for your business and highlights key differentiators they can build on
- Areas of opportunity: A deep-dive analysis of potential offering and delivery enhancements you could make to increase your attractiveness to clients in the future. This is again based on our NEAT evaluation together with market requirements. It includes examples of best practices from elsewhere in the industry
- Client perceptions: Feedback on the interviews conducted with your clients, including what’s working for them, potential areas for improvement, and future expectations
- Recommendations: Key recommendations for enhancing your offerings and go-to-market capabilities, including priority areas for investment.
A single Compass session is often regarded as an excellent return on investment for the entire program subscription price. Examples of recent feedback from senior vendor executives include:
“Excellent, just right, concise and clear. This reinforced our thoughts. Really great, thank you” – Conduent
“The team really likes your style and overview of the market, very knowledgeable. We like working with NelsonHall” – Kyndryl
