Wipro’s largest industry is BFSI, which contributes one-third of its revenues. It started delivering services to lenders in 2004 when it provided data entry BPO services to a lender for loan origination. Wipro has made several significant acquisitions to expand its capabilities:

  • Gallagher Financial Systems (2008): a software and IT services vendor for mortgage origination and fulfillment. This platform is now called NetOxygen
  • Opus CMC (2014): a U.S.-based provider of mortgage due diligence and risk management services
  • Designit (2015): a digital design firm that supports clients looking to develop products presented to the customer through an omnichannel environment
  • Capco (2021): a financial services consulting firm delivering high-value management consulting.

These acquisitions have enabled Wipro to deliver comprehensive transformation, technology, and operations services to financial institutions.

Wipro is now focusing on helping lenders transform their operations with NetOxygen (origination) and the Wipro Data Intelligence Suite (WDIS) for data management. It partners with other product vendors to deliver transformation for cloud, fintech, and lending operations.
