Key Findings & Highlights:
Apromore’s solution, Apromore, democratizes process discovery & mining by enabling business users to analyze their data manually and use machine learning for predictive analysis. The company offers limited native task mining capability through its open-sourced RPA UI Logger tool.
It supports the extraction and preparation of data from operational IT systems through its Integration Center. Apromore includes UI-based transformation functionality for defining mappings from a collection of tables into an event log using transform operations.
Apromore offers a configurable UI, Process Discoverer, to show discovered as-is processes that can show the metrics overlayed on the process map. Additionally, Process Discoverer offers a BPMN-centric approach to process flowcharts. The norm is to convert a mapped process to BPMN for conformance checking, but Process Discoverer can also see analysis information overlay.
Conformance checking in Apromore follows the conventional approach of comparing process executions to a reference ("design") model to identify where cases deviate from the specification. When generated from data, Apromore can also discover gateway probabilities (decision rule mining) that enhance process models and are used for scenario simulation.
In addition to process models, conformance checking can also be performed using filters, which can be anything from the amount of rework allowed, certain events following others, and the four-eyes principle to the time constraint between activities and SLAs.
Apromore does not offer traditional root cause analysis seen in many process mining solutions. Instead, root causes can be found through the Feature Importance functionality of the Predictive Process Monitoring.
Apromore prices its solution based on edition with added fees for connector maintenance.
Apromore client base is spread across organizational sizes with a skew towards smaller ones: 40% are SMB, 35% are midmarket, and 25% are large enterprises ($1bn+ revenue).
