The company is focused on global payroll, payments, and on-demand pay delivered through its unified proprietary CloudPay platform. It has ~300 payroll clients and delivers services to ~320k client employees. CloudPay operates in 17 core countries and supports the remaining countries with in-country partners.
It focuses on a complete payroll experience with a unified global payroll model including global payroll and payment management with a standardized process, one platform, a global payroll calendar, and collaborative workflow management and reporting. Its communication tool enables collaboration between client process owners, CloudPay, and in-country payroll partners (ICPs).
In 2021, CloudPay was early to market in launching an earned wage access offering, CloudPay NOW. In 2020, CloudPay partnered with Visa to enable payments through instant payments to a card. In August 2024, $120m additional funding was secured, led by Blue Owl Capital with the participation of existing shareholders Rho Capital Partners, The Olayan Group, and Hollyport Capital, to support further investment opportunities.
