NelsonHall Publishes 2016 NEAT Vendor Evaluation for Payroll Services

16 vendors assessed against 58 evaluation criteria, across 5 Payroll Services market segments

Boston, London, Paris: October 18, 2016

NelsonHall has today published its 2016 Payroll Services NEAT vendor evaluation, a strategic tool to assist sourcing managers in assessing vendor capability in Payroll Services, while cutting the time and cost of payroll sourcing projects by 50%.

This NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation & Assessment Tool (NEAT) is now available to NelsonHall clients and is also available for a period free-of-charge to buy-side organizations through partners SIG and SSON.

The tool shows how vendors are positioned overall on their ability to deliver Payroll Services, as well as within four distinct market segments (focus areas to meet specific business requirements): Analytics & Reporting Focus, Multi-Country Focus, Technology & UX Focus, and HR Cloud Integration Focus.

The vendors evaluated are ADP, Capita, Ceridian, CloudPay, Excelity Global, Infosys, MHR, Neeyamo, NGA HR, OneSource Virtual, Paychex, Ramco Systems, SafeGuard World International, SD Worx, Sopra Steria, and TMF.

The NEAT tool is part of NelsonHall's "Speed-to-Source" methodology. The tool sits at the front-end of the vendor screening process and consists of a two-axis model: assessing vendors against their "ability to deliver immediate benefit" to clients and their "ability to meet future client requirements".

NEAT evaluations are based on a combination of interviews with vendors and their clients. Vendors are scored against a wide range of criteria, establishing a number of scenarios, each representing a different business situation or client business need.

Furthermore, the NEAT tool enables buy-side organizations to input their own weightings and tailor the Payroll Services dataset to their specific requirements across all 58 vendor evaluation criteria. Using the interactive web-based tool, sourcing managers can configure the NEAT evaluations in accordance with their own priorities and business requirements for service offerings, delivery capability, customer presence, benefits achieved, and other criteria.
