The Assurance Services Unit (ASU), TCS’ main testing unit, was launched in 1998. ASU is a horizontal line within TCS and is aligned by vertical, in an organizational structure that combines technology capabilities with client domain knowledge. It has P&L responsibility.

Key verticals mirror TCS’ vertical structure, and therefore include BFSI, telecom, retail and consumer products, manufacturing, high tech, life science and healthcare, travel, transport and hospitality, energy, resources and utilities, media and entertainment, and others.

ASU is also broken down by geography: its main zones are North America, Europe (including the U.K.), ANZ, and in emerging markets Latin America, Asia Pacific (excluding ANZ), Middle East, Africa, and India.

ASU serves ~550 clients, and has 150 IPs.
