Infosys Announces Q3 FY21 Revenues Up 8.4% (Up 6.6% in CC) to $3,516m

Infosys has announced results for Q3 FY21, for the period ending December 31, 2020:

  • Revenues were $3,516m, up  8.4% y/y, up 6.6% in CC
  • Operating income (EBIT) was $893m, a margin of 25.4%, up 3.5 pts y/y.

Q3 FY21 estimated revenue by geography (with reported and CC  y/y growth in US$) was:

  • North America $2,166m (+8.9%, +8.8 CC) 
  • Europe $844m (+6.8%, +1.3% CC)
  • India $92m (+10.7%, +6.1% CC
  • Rest of World $414m (+1.7%, +4.3  CC).

Q3 FY21 revenue by service type (with reported and CC  y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Digital ($1,761m (+33.6%, +31.2% in CC). Digital accounted for 50.1% of global revenue
  • Core $1,755m, (-8.8%, -10.3% in CC)

Q3 FY20 revenue mix by industry (with approx revenue and reported and CC y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Financial Services 33.1% ($1,163m, +13.9%, + 12.0% CC)
  • Retail 14.6% ($515m, +4.0%, +2.0% CC)
  • Communication 12.4% ($436m, -+3.4%, +-.8% CC)
  • EURS 12.5% ($441m, +6.5%, +4.9% CC)
  • Manufacturing 9.3% ($328m, -1.9%, -4.1% CC)
  • Hi Tech 8.2% ($289m, +17.6%, +17.4% CC)
  • Life Sciences 7.1% ($248m, +13.2%, +11.0% CC)
  • Others 2.7% ($96m,+5.0%, +2.7% CC).

Infosys had 1,562 active clients at the end of Q3 FY21.

Major client contribution to revenue (and in Q3 FY21) was:

  • Top 5 clients 10.8% (11.3%)
  • Top 10 clients 18.5% (18.7%).

Headcount at the end of December 2020 was 249,312, a net y/y increase of 5,858, or 2.4%.

Annualized attrition was 10.0%, down from 15.8% in the prior year period and up from 7.8% reported in Q FY21.
