Infosys Announces Q4 FY21 Revenues Up 13.0% (Up 9.6% in CC) to $3,613m

Infosys has announced results for Q4 and full FY 2021, for the period ending March 31, 2021.

Q4 FY21:

  • Revenues were $3,613m, up 13.0% y/y, up 9.6% in CC
  • Operating income (EBIT) was $884m, a margin of 24.4%, up 33.8 pts y/y.

FY21:

  • Revenues were $13,561m, up 6.1% y/y, up 5.0% in CC
  • Operating income (EBIT) was $3,766m, a margin of 27.8%, up 64.6 pts y/y.

Q4 FY21 estimated revenue by geography (with estimated y/y growth in US$) was:

  • North America $2,225m (+13.0%, +12.3% in CC) 
  • Europe $881m (+12.8%, +5.1% in CC)
  • India $109m (+30.8%, +30.8% in CC)
  • Rest of World $398m (+9.3%, -0.9% in CC).

Q4 FY21 revenue mix by service type (with estimated revenue and y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Digital 51.5% ($1,859m, +38.6%, 34.4% in CC)
  • Core 48.5% ($1,754m, -5.5%, -8.3% in CC)

Q4 FY21 revenue mix by industry (with estimated revenue and y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Financial Services 33.0% ($1,192m, +19.1%, 15.6% in CC)
  • Retail 14.8% ($535m, +7.6%, 4.5% in CC)
  • Communication 12.0% ($433, +4.5%, -0.8% in CC)
  • EURS 12.3% ($444m, +8.0%, 4.9% in CC)
  • Manufacturing 9.6% ($348m, +7.1%, 3.4% in CC)
  • Hi Tech 8.1% ($292m, +15.9%, 15.5% in CC)
  • Life Sciences 6.8% ($247m, +20.8%, 18.3% in CC)
  • Others 3.4% ($122m, +31.3%, 25.8% in CC).

Infosys had 1,626 active clients at the end of Q4 FY21, with 215 new clients added during the quarter.

Major client contribution to revenue (and in Q4 FY20) was:

  • Top  5 client 10.9% (11.3%)
  • Top 10 clients 18.3% (18.7%)

Headcount at the end of March 2021 was 259,619, a net y/y increase 10,307 or 7.1%.

Annualized attrition was 15.2%, up from 15.3% in the prior year period, and from the 10.0% reported in Q3.

FY21 estimated revenue by geography (with estimated y/y growth in US$) was:

  • North America $8,320m (+5.9%) 
  • Europe $3,280m (+6.3%)
  • India $392m (+17.7%)
  • Rest of World $1,569m (+4.1%).

FY21 revenue mix by service type (with estimated revenue and y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Digital 48.5% ($6,577m, +31.3%)
  • Core 51.5% ($6,984m, -10.1%)

FY21 revenue mix by industry (with estimated revenue and y/y growth in US$) was:

  • Financial Services 32.4% ($4,399m, +9.2%)
  • Retail 14.7% ($1,991m, +0.8%)
  • Communication 12.6% ($1,703m, +0.9%)
  • EURS 12.5% ($1,692m, +2.4%)
