Ernst & Young Global Limited (EY) is a multinational professional services partnership headquartered in London, England. EY is one of the world's four largest professional services networks, along with Deloitte, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. It primarily provides financial audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services and has expanded into adjacent markets such as strategy, operations, HR, technology, and financial services consulting. EY is a network of member firms structured as separate legal entities in a partnership. It has 350k employees in ~700 offices across 159 countries.
In 2022 EY began lobbying partners to support an ambitious plan to take public the firm’s consulting, strategy and managed services within the next two years. Firm leaders are expected to decide in 2022 whether to move forward with a plan to separate the global consulting and audit practices into separately run businesses. No formal decision has been made. Any changes would happen in consultation with regulators and after a vote of approval by EY partners.
This profile focuses on EY’s Payroll Operate Services. EY’s payroll operation business is part of its Tax service line and one of the firm's managed services.
EY has delivered payroll services and expatriate payrolls for ~100 years and five years ago made the strategic investment to standardize its global capabilities and streamline our local country's payroll practices.
