Wipro has provided IT services to capital markets firms, including asset and wealth managers, since the mid-1990s. In 2002, Wipro acquired Spectramind to expand its business activities into BPS services. Spectramind had no capital markets BPS business, so Wipro decided to expand the BPS services to cover capital markets activities, including asset and wealth management processes, to cross-sell its capital markets clients.
