Key Findings & Highlights:

Atos started working with the wealth and asset management industry in 2010 when it acquired Siemens IT Services (SIS), which had been providing services to National Savings and Investments (NS&I) since 1999. Over time, the NS&I contract has grown in scope and resulted in Atos delivering all operational services to NS&I while digitalizing delivery and committing to ongoing cost reductions. Atos has continued to build its capabilities via acquisition. Key activities include:

  • Entering the French market with a trading platform: In April 2006, Atos acquired the Apollo trading platform from Misys. The platform is now used by most capital markets firms based in France and installed and supported by Atos.
  • Expanding its North American presence into large-scale BPS: In 2018, Atos acquired Syntel, a major BPS and IT services vendor in North America. Syntel had large relationships with State Street Bank and American Express.

Since 2019 Atos has been restructuring its business away from a horizontal, technology-led go-to-market approach to an industry-led approach. Today Atos is deploying industry-specific offerings to address the needs of LOB executives and IT executives requiring broad support for operational delivery.
