Key Findings & Highlights:

In 2014, Hexaware set up its IoT CoE, which is currently part of aHexaware horizontal service line, BI and Analytics (BI&A).

The CoE currently has a headcount of 50, 50% of which is based inChennai and Mumbai, 30% in Europe, and 20% in U.S. The intention of BI&A is to spin off its IoT capabilities as a horizontal service line, in the coming years, provided it meets with success.

The IoT CoE targets the sectors where Hexaware is strongest (namely BFS, insurance, and travel and transportation).  It has been involved in several IoT projects, including:

  •  Two projects in the manufacturing sector, for a mining firm and a solar panel manufacturing firm
  •  Two in BFSI, for a commercial real estate firm and a leasing company.

From this experience, the IoT CoE has created several reference architectures, initially in lease management.

At this point, the IoT CoE’s value proposition lies in its capabilities to  analyze data.
