Key Findings & Highlights:

UpFlux supports data sources through connectors and files. Extracting data to UpFlux from ERP, EMR, and Imaging systems is mainly through its connectors, which the company builds as needed for its clients. UpFlux also supports uploading data using files, e.g., CSV, through its web interface.

UpFlux offers a configurable UI flowchart widget to show discovered as-is processes and can be used for comparisons. UpFlux’s flowchart widget can be configured to analyze other data types, e.g., using nodes to represent resource types (e.g., users or organizational departments). Additionally, it has a pre-built analysis — Social Network — for roles/resources.

UpFlux can suggest automation opportunities for process activities when there have been association/business rules configured. Additionally, the company has built specialized bots for its health insurance clients.

UpFlux uses kanban to enable users to evaluate the conformance of open cases and to perform actions on cases with conformance violations. In the healthcare setting, it is being used to improve patient care by monitoring the ongoing care of patients as they traverse the system.

UpFlux uses a tiered subscription model (monthly or annually) based on event log volume, which is estimated based on the average number of admitted patients for hospitals/clinics and the number of individuals covered for health insurance clients.

UpFlux has 39 employees as of April 2021, up from 23 one year prior, where about half are in product development.

UpFlux’s clientele is primarily in Brazil but is seeing growth in other countries as existing clients are taking their product internally to other countries.
